From Ohio to Arizona by Car – Part 4

Refreshed from a good night’s sleep, we continued on our way. It was Day 2 of the 3-day trip. From Missouri we drove through Oklahoma and Texas and as you can see from the pictures, the landscape becomes increasingly dry and desert-like. The second to last state before Arizona was New Mexico.

The next state after Texas was New Mexico with its amazing rock formations and orange and red colored rocks.

Again, trying to take pictures of the landscape through the car window just doesn’t do it justice. Here is an example I found online of the awesome rock formations of New Mexico.

After another long day, we arrived at the motel in New Mexico where we spent the second night. Relaxing in the pool was just what we needed.

The second day came to a satisfying conclusion. The next day will be the homestretch!

Nice. And I’m sure glad those photos from the internet came in handy. Diane (or some IMPOSTER perhaps?) told me that the REAL reason you didn’t get any pictures in New Mexico was because you were passed out (drunk again?), snoring away the whole time you were in the state. SHOCKING!!! Even the poor doggies were terrified! But your secret is safe with me. NO ONE will ever know. (Unless, of course, Diane –or her stunt double–blabs to everyone else.)

Hey Monster A Gogo–I suspect you were drunk when reading the post. I understand having to deal with packing, moving, and crazy neighbors can be quite stressful. I bet you’re slugging down those tiki drinks!!

New Mexico is my favourite state! It is hard to take pictures out of the window of a moving car (and drive)! That pool looks very welcoming.

Thanks Darlene. Yes, taking pictures was a little difficult, to put it mildly. Once my friend is all settled, we’ll explore both Arizona and New Mexico more thoroughly.
